Sloppy Editing

The story is ok. The characters are pretty good. But the editing needs serious work: missing words, incorrect grammar, homonyms used incorrectly. A good editor could have helped tighten up the plot and add some suspense as well as correcting the bad grammar. Telling a story based on the details of shopping trips and making coffee does not result in a compelling mystery.
