Good and Basic

This book is a collection of magazine articles. Fair enough.

However, they're all very short (2-3 pages), well illustrated with photographs, and contain a wealth of basic information. The sections on jigs and assembly techniques alone was worth the price.

I liked it and found it extremely valuable as I got back into building balsa radio control models. I wish I'd had this book years ago before I gave up in disgust because I thought my model-building skills were deficient. While they were deficient, I could have made them more than adequate with the tips from this book.

just what i was looking for

My boyfriend really enjoys constructing RC planes & such so when he got this book he was really excited and rarely puts it down. There is a lot of good information for those who like to experiment and improve their designs. I suppose if one was already familiar with making them, this would be a great book for learning more about the skill.

I bought this book hoping to get some conventional instruction
into building a model airplane. I am a building clutz, and can use all the help I can get. What is inside is a collection of old magazine articles, telling how to build parts out of paper, some useful info about some construction, but nothing that I cant read on the internet for free, a wasted $19.95.

basic gathering of internet resources

I took c++ a few years ago and this showed up as a free offer at launch. So I grabbed it and just took some time to skim through it. Over all the basics anyone needs to know in order to write a c++ program are present. You can gain the same knowledge if not more if you search the internet and spend sometime going through different links, but this has them all in one location and can be a quick reference.

If I had to choose one thing that did bother me, it would be the inline comments in the code examples. I could not find a section explaining the difference between inline commenting and block commenting nor the notations on each or when to use them in the book.

Over all not a bad guide, but could benefit from some more updated resources such using visual studio express instead of referencing dream spark for students at the end of the book and a better layout on the content when code examples are being used.

I downloaded this Kindle book on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and my Samsung notebook computer. The book is a great source of reference for my first C++ programming class. The purchase price of $.99 was a bargain, and just what I needed for a brief overview of C++ in a compact edition.
